Come enjoy a day of play, and support an amazing cause.
Carnival for CASA achieves two amazing goals in one event: it creates a day of sheer childhood fun and joy for hundreds of kiddos for whom life has not always been the kindest, and it raises money to help provide advocacy for those same children in an overwhelmed court system where their voice gets lost.
What is the Carnival for CASA?
For one, it’s an extraordinary day of play for some extraordinary kids. We’ve tried to include all the happy things implied by the word “carnival” – from all the regular attractions at Paradise Park like Go Karts, Bumper Cars, Mini Golf, Rock Climbing, Laser Tag Maze and Foam Factory, to activities offered exclusively for this event with children’s entertainers The Jack Snaps, face painters, hair designers, balloon artists, bounce houses, Home Depot Workshops, a photo booth, popular mascots, LEGO station, popcorn, cotton candy, goody bags, and much more!
AND, Carnival for CASA is one of Jackson County CASA’s major annual fundraisers.
Tickets include all that fun, PLUS lunch! In advance, tickets are $30. At the door day of, tickets are $35. Non-participating adults can also purchase tickets that include lunch for $15. Online purchase available on Jackson County CASA’s website here.
Partnering to provide playtime, and much-needed financial support
Paradise Park is all about families, and kids. As the premier family destination in the region, we believe in the power of play and the importance of fun in a child’s life, and in building relationships. Our hearts are moved every year by the stories we hear of the families and children impacted by CASA, and we are passionate about supporting this organization. Paradise Park and Jackson County CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates) first collaborated 13 years ago, and every year since we have been honored to provide a place for these precious abused and neglected kids to play, an event for our community to learn more about this non-profit doing such important work, and a chance for grown-ups to give, volunteer, serve and see personally the reality of the need for CASA.
Jackson County CASA is one of the largest organizations of its kind in the nation, and serves more than 1,250 children each year by providing a volunteer for each child’s court case so that they have an advocate and voice to speak for the best interests of the children in Jackson County Family Court to help find safe, permanent homes for the kiddos. CASA trains and supports the volunteers at a cost of about $1,000 per child. They have a very real, positive impact:
- The children served by CASA receive more health and behavioral services, are more likely to be adopted and are 50 percent less likely to re-enter the foster-care system.
- Most importantly, 95 percent of Jackson County CASA children do not suffer additional abuse or neglect after their case is closed – and since 2000, less than 1 percent of Jackson County CASA children have re-entered the Jackson County court system.
Please come join us on Sunday, June 9, 2019. You can enjoy a day of play AND support this important group. You’ll be making a positive impact on our community with your financial support, and with your presence. Both matter greatly.
